Jim Corbett Durga Devi Tourism Zone

Experience the untamed beauty of Durga Devi Jim Corbett Tourism Zone, a prominent section of the Corbett Tiger Reserve. With its heavy Sal forests and the picturesque Ramganga River carving its path through verdant grasslands and reverie forests, this zone is a paradise for nature enthusiasts and birdwatchers alike.
Opening Timing
15th November to 15th June
Visitors can plan their trips during these months when the weather is most favorable and wildlife activity is at its peak.
Durga Devi Gate Jim Corbett
The entry point to the Durga Devi Tourism Zone is approximately 25 km from Ramnagar. This zone is especially significant due to its strategic location within the reserve, where vehicle access is limited to ensure a pristine environment. A maximum of 11 vehicles are allowed during both the morning and evening safari sessions. These sessions must be booked in advance, ensuring that your visit remains both exclusive and eco-friendly.
Wildlife and Natural Attractions

This forest section is not just about the majestic trees and winding river. The presence of the Ramganga—one of the main rivers of Corbett—attracts a variety of big mammals that come to take a refreshing dip in its natural pool. The confluence of the Ramganga and Mandal rivers further enriches the ecosystem, making this zone a haven for birdwatchers. Species such as the Lesser Grey-headed Fish Eagle, Changeable Hawk Eagle, Laughing Thrush, Ibisbill, Maroon Oriole, and Little Forktail can often be spotted along the Mandal river range.
